Now in its third year, #CommunitiesSolidarischDenken is one of the main projects at xart splitta. We have talked, written and exchanged ideas about solidarities – good and bad, failed and successful, difficult and simple ones, solidarities based on similarities or those despite differences. The aim here is to try to work cross-community and to consciously create community bonds. This includes addressing differences and commonalities in our communities in order to (further) develop and strengthen strategies for cross-community cooperation and solidarities.
But who does this solidarity involve? Who is showing solidarity with whom? It is certainly no secret that the majority of these communities are (intersectional) BIPoC communities. With our 2021 demands in hand, it’s now time to actually get down to basics.
