Embodied Motions.

CURIOSITY – AWARENESS – ENERGY – FLOW – EXPLORING

This workshop is directed at Black people and People of Colour

As Black people and People of Colour/ (racialised people) with various intersecting identities we are forced to navigate through systems of oppressions, and each of us has built or found tools to heal through this. We will investigate through sound / movement and experimentations to find other ways of healing and transformation. in doing so, we will give ourselves space and time to find out what practices works best for us individually and collectively. We encourage participants to have fun and bring an open mind and a curiosity for the space.

The workshop will take place in English and German spoken languages, with the spoken language not expressly being the focus.

Please bring warm socks and comfortable things to wear. Also please note that this is a scent reduced space so please avoid wearing artificial perfumes/fragrances. There will be beverages and snacks
provided.

Facilitators:

Ford Kelly: Black Queer Trans* facilitator who lives and works in Berlin. They have been and are involved in a number of community projects and events in berlin. some of which are the cutieBPOC Festival and Transformations Film Festival as well as co-facilitating a Feminist of Colour dance and movement research space. Ford also works at LesMigraS in the empowerment project Tapesh.

Dieser Workshop richtet sich an Schwarze Menschen und People of Colour

Als Schwarze menschen und People of Colour mit verschiedenen intersektionalen Verortungen, sind wir gezwungen uns in einem diskriminierenden und unterdrückerischem System zurecht zu finden. Jede*r von uns hat dafür Tools zur Heilung entwickelt oder gefunden. Durch Stimme/ Bewegung und mit Experimentierfreude erforschen wir, welche Wege der Heilung und Transformation es noch gibt. Dabei geben wir uns allen raum und zeit, um herauszufinden, was für uns individuell und kollektiv am besten funktioniert. Wir möchten die Teilnehmerinnen* einladen dabei Spaß zu haben und den Raum mit ihrer Offenheit und neugier zu füllen.

Der Workshop findet in englischer und deutscher Lautsprache statt, wobei die gesprochene Sprache ausdrücklich nicht im Vordergrund steht.

Bitte warme Socken und Kleidung mitbringen, in denen ihr euch wohl fühlt. Bitte achtet auch darauf, möglichst keine künstlichen Düfte bzw. Parfums zu tragen. Für Verpflegung vor Ort (Getränke und Snacks) ist gesorgt.

Ford Kelly: Black Queer Trans* Workshopleiter*in. Wohnt und arbeitet in Berlin. Ford war bereits in einigen Community Projekten und Veranstaltungen in Berlin involviert. u.A. das cutieBPOC Festival, das Transformations Film Festival und auch als Co-Leiter*in eines feministischen Bewegungs- und Forschungsraum für Personen of Colour. Ford arbeitet bei LesMigraS im Empowerment-Projekt Tapesh.
